Current Vacancies

As a Store Manager for Synge & Byrne, your responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant’s revenue,
profitability and quality goals. You will deliver a trialled and tested menu and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.

The ideal candidates will have worked in a café/restaurant and have experience with coffee & food production, dealing with customers and will be fully flexible in terms of working hours.

As store Manager, a minimum of 1-year experience in a similar supervisory role is required, we can only shortlist those candidates who clearly demonstrate this in their CV and cover letter.

Back of the house management experience is also essential, as you’ll hire qualified Cooks and Staff. You will set work schedules, oversee food prep and make sure we comply with health and safety restaurant regulations.

Who We Are

Synge & Byrne is an artisan café company based in Northern
Ireland. Each of our existing 16 stores has been individually designed to offer an ambience that seeks to honour history whilst opening a door to the possibilities of the future. You’ll find the same hand roasted barista made coffees, fancy teas and good old milky brews that has made us who we are today. Our menu featuring breakfast, lunch, kids meals, traybakes & desserts has been trailed and tested - it honours our local roots and opens a door to our foodie future.

Responsibilities

· Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations

· Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction

· Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints

· Regularly review product quality and research new vendors

· Organize and supervise shifts

· Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity

· Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products

· Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations

· Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it

· Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste

· Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices

· Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations

Requirements

· Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role

· Proven customer service experience as a manager

· Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to
remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff

· Familiarity with restaurant management software

· Strong leadership, motivational and people skills

· Acute financial management skills

We’re on the hunt for legends to join us in our S&B Ice-cream truck this summer at Slieve Gillion forest park!

This position will be to serve up our top-quality gelato, cold drinks and snacks from the truck. Although it would be beneficial, no experience is necessary as full training will be provided. This role would suit those that would like to gain some knowledge of the industry and provide invaluable experience. It is a part
time seasonal position – however there is potential for this to become permanent should you wish.

We need a passionate person with supervisory experience in the hospitality sector and a love for people, food, & coffee to start as soon as possible at our beautiful Synge and Byrne store located in the beautiful Kibroney park - Rosstrevor.
